Site Information

Affiliated as a "Landmark Site" since 1976

Once home to J. Sterling Morton, the father of Arbor Day, the landscape surrounding this stately mansion includes some of the original plantings of white pine, chestnuts and catalpa. Efforts are underway to restore this historic landscape to its original design.
