The Norris Forest is a collection of approximately 400 trees and shrubs representing over 90 species. The Forest also includes a display of native grasses and plants, annual and perennial flowers, and a learning center (gazebo). The Forest extends all around the grade school, middle school and high school buildings on the 160-acre campus of the Norris School District. The mission of the Norris Forest is to serve as an outdoor education opportunity for Norris School District students and patrons and to create appropriate landscaping for the school's grounds and facilities.
