Affiliated as an "Accredited Arboretum" site since 1997

The Metropolitan Community College site is located at the historical site of Fort Omaha. The arboretum site encompasses approximately five acres of the 70-acre campus and includes plantings around Buildings 8, 9, 10, 27 and 29 on campus. The campus offers a wide collectin of plants, some that have existed on the site for over 100 years. Other plantings, including perennial flower beds and a wide variety of ornamental trees and shrubs and have been planted for use in the Metropolitan Community College Horticulture Program. Site includes gardens at the General Crook house and the AAS Display Garden maintained by the Omaha Mens Garden Club.
