| GreatPlants Garden Network is a group of gardeners from the Great Plains and beyond that grow and display GreatPlants in private or public landscape settings. To qualify, gardeners must grow at least six different GreatPlants; including perennials, grasses, shrubs, and trees; which are listed on our website and may be available at a local garden center. Gardeners then report on garden performance; such as size, flowers, fall color, weather and soil conditions; through yearly evaluations. Further discussion will be available through the online GreatPlants Garden Network, where gardeners can chat with one another about garden happenings through a private forum. To join the online network, email Kristina Jensen. Gardens will be recognized with an 11 x 17” GreatPlants display sign available through NSA or graphics may be obtained to make personal signs. Gardens that attractively display GreatPlants will be eligible to win the annual “ GreatPlants Garden of the Year” award; including a certificate and free plants from NSA and Bluebird Nursery. Gardeners will be invited to an annual meeting and tour of Bluebird Nursery in Clarkson , Nebraska where they will have access to future plant releases and introductions not widely available to the public.
